Green Day Announces NIMRODS Movie Soundtrack Featuring New Song

Green Day has announced the soundtrack for its upcoming film, NIMRODS.

The soundtrack arrives July 31 and features a collection of Green Day favorites, including "Basket Case," "Longview," and "Wake Me Up When September Ends." The release also includes live recordings and a brand-new song titled "I'm Never Gonna R.I.P."

The band has also released "I'm Never Gonna R.I.P." along with an accompanying music video featuring footage from NIMRODS, now available on YouTube.

In addition to Green Day, the soundtrack features contributions from The Paradox, Ultra Q, actress Mckenna Grace, and the film's fictional band, Analog Dogs.

NIMRODS follows three friends who set out on a road trip after mistakenly believing their band, Analog Dogs, has landed an opening slot for Green Day on New Year's Eve. The film is inspired by Green Day's early days touring in a van.

The cast includes Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, Ryan Foust, Mckenna Grace, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Fred Armisen, and Bobby Lee.

NIMRODS premieres in theaters on Aug. 14.
