Atlanta Unveils Memorial Honoring Former Mastodon Guitarist Brent Hinds

A memorial honoring former Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds has been unveiled in the band's hometown of Atlanta.

The memorial features photos of Hinds alongside a dedication that reads, "In loving memory of Brent Hinds … You are loved and missed by so many!"

The display also includes the silhouette of a motorcycle rider and the message, "Look twice! Save a life!"

Mastodon shared a video of the memorial on Instagram, writing, "The people of Atlanta showing love for Brent."

Hinds parted ways with Mastodon in March 2025 before his death in a motorcycle accident in August 2025 at the age of 51.

The band has continued with guitarist Nick Johnston and released the song "Your Ghost Again" in June as a tribute to Hinds.
