Alice in Chains Announces 30th Anniversary Vinyl Reissue of Unplugged

Alice in Chains is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the band's 1996 Unplugged live album with a new vinyl reissue.

The album is available to preorder now through the band's webstore. The release marks the first time Unplugged has been available on vinyl in the United States.

Originally recorded for the MTV Unplugged series, the performance features stripped-down versions of Alice in Chains songs including "Rooster," "Down in a Hole," "Would?" and "Angry Chair."

Following the Unplugged performance, Alice in Chains went on hiatus for several months. Vocalist Layne Staley died in 2002. The band reunited in 2006 with William DuVall as its new singer.
