GoGo Penguin—pianist Chris Illingworth, bassist Nick Blacka, and drummer Jon Scott—return with Necessary Fictions, a bold new chapter in their evolution. Known for their genre-blurring blend of jazz, classical, and electronic music, this album sees the trio expanding their sonic palette with modular synthesizers and first-time guest collaborations.

The record features the debut of vocals on a GoGo Penguin track (“Forgive the Damages” with Daudi Matsiko) and contributions from the Manchester Collective, led by violinist Rakhi Singh. Necessary Fictions is a confident, exploratory release that showcases a band willing to evolve while staying deeply connected to their core identity.

Return Policy

Returns are accepted within 7 days of product delivery.  

New vinyl must be unopened and unplayed, unless there is concealed damage.  

Used vinyl is graded for vinyl and jacket condition.  Please contact us directly if there is a problem. 

Signed vinyl records cannot be returned unless they are damaged or defective.

Sleeves and LP Mailers can be returned within 7 days.
