Tim Montana Releases Entire State of Tim Montana Featuring Charlie Sheen, Slash, and Billy F Gibbons

Tim Montana has released his new album, Entire State of Tim Montana.

According to Montana, the album title was inspired by a quote from longtime friend Charlie Sheen, who thanked "the entire state of Tim Montana" in the acknowledgments of one of his books.

"It kind of lends itself to the songs, too," Montana said. "There's some really deep personal stuff, there's some fun stuff, there's some cool covers. It was the entire state of me."

The album opens with a skit featuring Charlie Sheen, his father Martin Sheen, and Terminator 2 actor Robert Patrick. Montana said he originally asked Charlie Sheen to record a simple introduction, but Sheen instead offered to write a full skit for the album.

Guest appearances throughout the record include ZZ Top's Billy F Gibbons, Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, and Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell.

"I can't believe any of this is real," Montana said. "I can't believe I got one of these guys, let alone all of these guys."

The album also includes a cover of Katy Perry's hit "Roar." Montana said he originally learned the song for one of his daughters when she was younger, and after performing it live with his band and receiving a positive response, decided to include it on the album.

"I've got two daughters, so I'm like, I'm gonna cover a female pop song for my girls," Montana said.

Following the album's release, Tim Montana will tour the U.S. with Alter Bridge beginning in November.
