Say Anything has announced a new collaborative album with Wavves titled Cherry Soda.

The album is scheduled for release on Sept. 18. The lead single, "Deathx1k," is available now alongside a new claymation music video.

Speaking about the collaboration, Say Anything frontman Max Bemis said he and Wavves frontman Nathan Williams drew inspiration from each other's experiences while writing the album.

"We kind of wrote to each other's situations," Bemis said. "We're both very different people, but we get along really well. As writers, we pushed ourselves. He became more emo, and I became more Wavves-y."

Bemis added that the collaboration brought out different sides of each songwriter.

"I think we brought out some of the stuff that isn't most obvious in each other," he said. "I may be singing stuff that sounds kind of bleak, but that's kind of like Nate's whole shtick, although he's actually a very sweet, sensitive guy."

The album includes the songs "Keep What Hurts," "Deathx1k," "Gone Away," "So Low," "Still Alive," "Cherry Soda," "Sell You Hope," "Litterbug," "Pretend Again," and "Pinesol."
