Lykke Li has released "Sick of Love," the latest single from her upcoming album The Afterparty, arriving May 8 via Neon Gold Records.
The new Lykke Li song paints a vivid scene: Li alone at the end of a party, surrounded by the cleanup, sitting with the emotional wreckage of love. "It's this moment of complete humiliation, and you're trying to be strong," she says in a statement. "I had a lot of fun writing these lyrics. I laughed a lot."
The Afterparty is the follow-up to Li's 2022 album EYEYE and her first full-length since a 2025 covers EP. The nine-track record — recorded in Stockholm with a 17-piece orchestra — also includes previously released singles "Lucky Again" and "Knife in the Heart." Li has described the album as a departure into her "existential era," confronting themes of shame, despair, and the so-called lower self.
Lykke Li performs at Coachella this Friday, April 10, with a second weekend appearance on April 17.
