Ice Nine Kills has reached a new career milestone as "Twisting the Knife" became the band's first No. 1 song on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.

The track, recorded for the upcoming film Scream 7, climbed to the top of the chart, giving the horror-inspired metal band its first chart-topper.

Scream 7 actress Mckenna Grace, who is featured on "Twisting the Knife," also earns her first No. 1 hit on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.

Before this achievement, Ice Nine Kills reached a peak of No. 9 on the chart with "A Grave Mistake" and "The Great Unknown." Frontman Spencer Charnas has also previously earned a No. 1 as a featured artist on The Funeral Portrait's song "Suffocate City."

The band's latest release, "Play Dead," arrived Friday and is inspired by the video game Dead by Daylight.
