From Ashes to New is set to join Shinedown on its U.S. tour beginning Saturday in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. With the release of the band's latest album, Reflections, in April, vocalist Danny Case says creating a tour setlist has become a challenge due to the limited performance time.
Speaking with ABC Audio, Case explained that the band has more songs they want to perform than will fit into their approximately 30-minute set.
"We're gonna have to start cutting hits to play new songs," Case said, noting that the band is working to balance fan favorites with selections from Reflections.
Earlier this year, From Ashes to New toured with Black Veil Brides. While the band previously adjusted its performances to better match the headlining act, Case says their approach has changed.
Instead, the group plans to focus on the songs that have connected most with fans while staying true to its own style.
According to Case, the band's priority is to deliver the strongest performance possible regardless of who they are touring with.
"We're gonna bring our A game," he said, adding that the band continues to work on improving every aspect of its live show, including sound, visual presentation, and song selection.
