Alabama Shakes Release New Song "Garden" Ahead of Upcoming Album

Alabama Shakes have released a new song titled "Garden," the latest preview of the band's upcoming album, I Must Be Dreaming.

The track features frontwoman Brittany Howard singing in the chorus, "If you don't water your garden I will/ If you don't show her you love her I will."

I Must Be Dreaming is scheduled for release on Aug. 28 and includes the previously released songs "Another Life," "American Dream," and "I Feel Hope Coming."

The album marks Alabama Shakes' first full-length release since 2015's Sound & Color. The band returned in late 2024 after a hiatus that followed the release of that album.

Alabama Shakes will continue their U.S. summer tour beginning Aug. 21 with a performance in Highland Park, Illinois.
