The plot focuses on a young model (Cristina Raines) that moves into a historic Brooklyn brownstone that has been sectioned into apartments, only to find out that the building is owned by the Catholic diocese and is a gateway to Hell. The film features early acting roles by several now-household-name actors such as Christopher Walken, Jeff Goldblum, and John Carradine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFollowing a string of supernatural Horror films such as Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, and The Omen, The Sentinel is based off the 1974 novel of the same name by Jeffrey Konvitz.
