Los Angeles-based Dirty Honey skyrocketed to fame with their debut single, "When I'm Gone," making history as the first track by an unsigned artist to top Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart in March 2019. Their subsequent hit, "Rolling 7s," climbed into the Top 5, gaining momentum just as the COVID pandemic began. In 2019, Dirty Honey had already made a name for themselves, opening for iconic bands like The Who and Guns 'N Roses and becoming a staple at major rock festivals such as Rocklahoma and Louder Than Life.

Their first U.S. headline tour in early 2020 saw every show sold out, a testament to their rapidly growing fan base. When it was time to record their full-length debut album, the band—vocalist Marc LaBelle, guitarist John Notto, bassist Justin Smolian, and drummer Corey Coverstone—decided to stick with the winning formula that had brought them this far. Collaborating again with producer Nick DiDia, who worked on their 2019 EP, Dirty Honey, successfully translated their electrifying live energy into the studio.

Guitarist John Notto emphasized the band's commitment to refining their sound without losing their essence. "It's about enhancing what we've already achieved, not changing it," he remarked. The pandemic, while disruptive, gave them additional time to refine their songs, a point drummer Coverstone highlighted as beneficial to their creative process.

Their debut album showcases Dirty Honey's unique style—combining elements of gritty rock, melodic hard rock, and the soulful blues of the '70s. Vocalist Marc LaBelle shines on tracks like "The Wire," affirming his place among modern rock's elite vocalists. "Another Last Time" offers a raw take on a tumultuous relationship, while "Tied Up" and "California Dreamin'" display the band's knack for blending captivating guitar solos with robust riffs and hooks, further cementing Dirty Honey's status in the rock world.
