Rival Sons’ Scott Holiday Debuts HOL1D4Y Project

Rival Sons guitarist Scott Holiday has introduced a new solo project named HOL1D4Y.

In a press release, Holiday says he first planned the music as an instrumental project before the songs began to take another shape.

“What surprised me was that they stopped feeling like instrumental pieces,” Holiday says. “They seemed prepped for a story. Once I realized that, the words came quickly. That’s when I knew it was time to step into this new role — I needed to be the one to tell these stories.”

The first HOL1D4Y album, TOPOLOGY, is set for release Sept. 25. Its debut single, “Veridream,” is out now, and the video is available on YouTube.

Holiday’s Rival Sons bandmate Jay Buchanan released his debut solo album, Weapons of Beauty, in February.

All the Rival Sons will reunite for a U.S. tour that begins in October.
