Noah Kahan continues to reach new milestones as The Great Divide remains at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for a third consecutive week.

The chart achievement gives Kahan one of the biggest rock album runs in recent years. The last rock album to spend at least three weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 was Mumford & Sons’ 2013 release Babel, which held the position for five weeks.

Kahan’s accomplishment stands out even more among solo artists. The previous solo rock musician to keep an album at No. 1 for that long was Jack Johnson with Sleep Through the Static in 2008.

Although The Great Divide has crossed into multiple genres by appearing on the Billboard Hot 100 and several pop-focused charts, the project is officially categorized as a rock album through Billboard’s Top Rock Albums rankings.

The “Stick Season” artist reacted to the news in a recent Instagram Story, where he mixed humor with appreciation for fans supporting the album.

Kahan joked that he had just gotten his “a** kicked” during a soccer match against a “bunch of 47-year-old guys,” before celebrating the continued chart success.

“Third week at #1 on the Billboard 200,” Kahan said. “Very, very grateful. Very excited. Can’t believe I’m still at #1.”

The singer also thanked listeners for continuing to stream and purchase the album, crediting fans for helping keep The Great Divide at the top of the charts.

“You guys are amazing,” Kahan added. “It’s all because of you guys streaming and buying and supporting the music.”

He later joked that he may need to spend more time on the treadmill to get back into “soccer shape.”
