New Neil Peart Documentary to Premiere on CBC This September

A new documentary celebrating the life and legacy of late Rush drummer Neil Peart is set to premiere on Canada's CBC on Sept. 23.

Titled Neil Peart: No One's Disciple, the film will examine Peart's artistry and lasting impact as Rush's drummer and lyricist through rare archival footage, personal reflections, and live performances.

The documentary also features an all-star lineup of drummers alongside Rush members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson as they perform some of Peart's famously challenging drum parts, highlighting the musicianship that defined his career.

Peart passed away in 2020 at the age of 67. His final performance with Rush took place during the band's farewell tour in 2015.

Rush returned in 2025 with Lee and Lifeson joined by drummer Anika Nilles. The band's Fifty Something tour began in June and continues across North America through December.

Fans will also have another opportunity to celebrate the band's legacy during the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's Rush to the Rock Hall fan experience, scheduled for Sept. 17–20 in Cleveland. The event will feature Rush trivia, band artifacts, and archival footage. Rush was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
