Mumford & Sons’ ‘Little Lion Man’ Passes 1 Billion Spotify Streams

Mumford & Sons’ “Little Lion Man” has officially surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, making it the band's first song to reach the streaming platform’s Billions Club.

The breakout single introduced listeners to Mumford & Sons’ banjo-driven folk sound and became one of the defining songs from the band’s early career.

“Little Lion Man” was originally released in 2009 as Mumford & Sons’ debut single. The track also appeared on the band’s 2009 debut album, Sigh No More.

The song went on to reach #1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart and earned a Grammy nomination.

Now, more than a decade after its release, “Little Lion Man” has reached 1 billion Spotify streams, becoming the first Mumford & Sons song to achieve the streaming milestone.
